Map locks to property entrances in Portfolio

Assign a lock to the property entrances it serves, then review the mapping before saving.

For

Workspace owners and admins.

Before you start

The properties and locks you want to map must already be imported. Confirm that you have selected the right lock and property names.

Steps

  1. Open Portfolio setup

Choose Portfolio, then Set up properties & codes in the Portfolio setup section. This area is available to owners and admins.

  2. Choose the lock and its mapping

Select one lock. Leave it Standalone / unassigned if it has no booking-property connection. Choose Primary entrance when it serves one property as its main entrance, or Shared entrance when guests from multiple properties use it; select every property it serves.

  3. Check the display group

Choose a display group only to organize the lock in STRide Locks. A display group does not create or change a booking-property mapping.

  4. Review the setup

Choose Review setup and check the before-and-after property connections, entrance role and any warnings. Save only when the reviewed mapping is correct.

  5. Treat code choices as a separate action

Saving a mapping does not itself copy an access code. If you also intend to set up codes, review those choices separately and use Save & copy codes only after checking the selected actions.

What to expect

The lock appears in Portfolio with the saved property connections and entrance role. It can still remain Standalone / unassigned when no booking mapping is intended.

If something does not look right

If the save result is unclear, return to Portfolio and check the saved mapping before trying again. If a property or lock is missing, ask an admin to check Connections & setup and the imported inventory.
